Overall winners: Tongtong Xu and Sergey Zykov!
Tongtong Xu started strong with a continental record of 98 meters in CWTB and continued from there! The second diving day for women she performed a solid 89 meters FIM (new national record).
After the break she would focus on CNF and finish strong wit two white cards. First to 63 meters on the third diving day. And then she finished the AIDA Asian Freediving Cup 2025 in style with a new national record of 68 meters. Total score of 256.50 WR%.
Sergey Zykov started his campaign with a strong 70m CNF dive. On the second day he got a red card for his surface protocol. This would create some excitement in who would take home the overall in the men’s division.
Third day went according to plan with a strong 111m FIM dive. On the last day Sergey did a 104 meters CWTB dive that would secure him the overall championship. 235.05 WR% total.
Tongtong and Sergey would take home gift certificates from Molchanovs valued at 1000$ each. They also received 500$ cash – half from BESTDIVE and half from NB Freedive, and a BRANCIIIA neck weight. Both also received a pair of fins: Tongtong picked CETMA Mantra CWT and Sergey picked Tamera Competition Carbon Fins.
Podium positions
For the women, Mariko Kaji, came second about 8 WR% points behind the winner. The CNF specialist equaled Tongtong in CNF, but where a few points in the other disciplines.
For men there was excitement until the last day. There was at least three divers having a good chance of taking home the overall. In the end, Hua Yang Huang came in second after a clean 100m FIM dive
Second placed divers got 800$ gift certificate from Molchanovs and 350$ cash from BESTDIVE and NB Freedive. Mariko got Tamera Competition Carbon Fins and DOWNRISE neck weight of 800 grams. Hua Yang Huang got CETMA Mantra CWT fins and a Bada-Sea Bag from Tamera.
Alice Ellialtioglu repeated her position in AIDA Asian Freediving Cup 2024 ending third overall.
Zhiying Yu could have finished overall first with a white card on the last day.He was left with no additional points on the last day after dipping his airways and spending too long time on his surface protocol. But he had a 66m meter CNF dive from his second diving day, leaving him third overall.
Third placed divers received 600$ gift certificate from Molchanovs, 200$ cash from BESTDIVE and NB Freedive. Zhiying Yu got a pair of CETMA Mantra CWT fins and a DOWNRISE neck weight. Alice got a new BESTDIVE Zero resistance wetsuit and a BRANCIIIA neck weight.

Fourth positioned divers Huang Yi and Ying Huang got 150$ cash from BESTDIVE and NB Freedive. In addition Huang Yi picked a BESTDIVE Zero resistance and two DOWNRISE neck weights. Ying Huang got a pair of CETMA Mantra CWT fins, a Tamera Splash Mesh Backpack and a BRANCIIIA neck weight.
Fifth placed Jinseul Yuk got 100$ cash from BESTDIVE and NB Freedive, a BESTDIVE Zero resistance wetsuit, a BRANCIIIA Vertexc buoy and a DOWNRISE neck weight. For men, Kim Dahlgren got the same cash from BESTDIVE and NB Freedive, as well as a BESTDIVE Zero resistance wetsuit and two BRANCIIA neck weights.
In sixth place Viktor Korsun and Ya-Hui Su received 80$ cash from BESTDIVE and NB Freedive. Viktor picked BRANCIIIA Aqua Elite SCS wetsuit and neck weight and mask from BRANCIIIA. Ya-Hui Su also picked a BRANCIIIA Aqua Elite SCS wetsuit, and she also got neck weights from DOWNRISE and BRANCIIIA.

In AIDA Asian Freediving Cup we want to award divers that don’t compete in the overall ranking as well. For these awards we don’t consider the divers that placed top six overall. This allows us to spread the awards around some.
