With half the competition complete, it’s time for a brief summary of the first four days.
We’ve had four beautiful days in the water, which have yielded five continental records and twenty national records.
Scoring for the event is based on percentages of the world record, added together. The best results in FIM, CNF, and the better of CWT or CWTB are combined for a total score.
Women ranking after 2 of 4 dives.
Favorites Tongtong Xu, Mariko Kaji, and Alice Ellialtioglu have all delivered strong performances in two disciplines. Tongtong leads with 176 points, Mariko is second at 165, and Alice follows with 144 points. Tongtong has produced the highest- and third-highest-scoring dives of the competition so far (behind Hua Yang Huang’s 120 m CWT).
In the next spots, we find Amanda Tran with 125 points, Ying Huang with 123, and Manman Wang also at 123 points.
Only nine women have managed to score points in two different disciplines—either because they focused on separate events, did two dives in CWT/CWTB, or incurred unfortunate cards.
Both Tongtong and Mariko are still missing points in CNF, so the final days should be an interesting battle. They are currently ranked second and third in Asia for this discipline—and sixth and twelfth in the world.

Men ranking after 2 of 4 dives
Zhiying Yu leads with 148 points. Kim Dahlgren is close behind at 141, followed by Viktor Korsun with 133. Yu-Wei Chen (109) and Aakash Raj (108) round out the top five; they are the only athletes with totals above 100 points.
Favorites Kurt Chambers and Sergey Zykov started strong, but red cards in their second dives have left them trailing, while last year fourth placed athlete Mitch Ayres has put all his effort towards a CWB Continental record which he has failed to claim so far.
Lat year fifth place Hua Yang Huang have done two dives in CWT, we’re curious of what kind of dives he will do after the break, now that he has secured his white card for 120 meters.
Seven men have scored points in two disciplines toward the overall ranking.

We’re excited for what the next four days will bring!
