AIDA Asian Freediving Cup 2025: Training and Accommodation Guide

It’s only 36 days left until the AIDA Asian Freediving Cup 2025 and we hope everyone’s training is going well. We have had a few questions about preparations and the time before the competition, and we will try to answer some of the frequently asked questions here.

I want to train at SuperHOME before the competition, how can I do that?

There are several options for training available:

  • Coached sessions
  • Autonomous training sessions
  • Platform training sessions
  • Platform training with full competition setup

Will there be official training days before the competition?

AFC2025 official competition setup training will be held on May 26/27 and 29/30. The 26th and 29th will be for women, and 27th and 30th will be for men. The cost for the official training will be 3000p per session.

There will be no autonomous platform training or regular full setup training during these days. Autonomous training will also be limited. 

On the 28th and 31st there will be training as usual.

Where can I stay during the AIDA Asian Freediving Cup?

There are still a few rooms available at Freedive SuperHOME. This will be the easiest and most convenient place to stay during the competition: https://www.freedivesuperhome.com

Then there are plenty of other options in Panglao that can fit most budgets and requirements. Location wise, please keep the following in mind:

The competition itself is held at Freedive SuperHOME in Doljo. This is the same location as the earlier events of the competition since 2018.  If you value short travel to diving and a nice beach you should find a place to live nearby there. 

Next location of interest is Panglao Poblacion, about 2.5 kilometers from Freedive SuperHOME. This is the main town of Panglao, where one can find markets, mostly local restaurants and more. 

Third location of interest is the Alona area. This is the main tourist area of Panglao and also where we can find most hotels and restaurants. It is about seven kilometers from Freedive SuperHOME.

Panglao island is not too big, so even the further locations in Dauis will be less than 30 minutes away.
