Safety is paramount in freediving competitions. To ensure everyone’s safety we have put together a team of medical professionals we strongly believe is very capable of handling any incident that might occur.
Dr Florence Mae Uribe will also be available for check-ups and signing of medical forms during the competition meeting on the 26th.
Dr Florence Mae Uribe
Florence is a licensed medical doctor with six years of experience in the medical field. She is certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Life Support, which highlights her skill in life-saving techniques.
Additionally, Dr. Uribe is currently working on her Molchanovs Wave 3 (W3) certification and is actively involved in freediving as an athlete. Her combination of medical knowledge and advanced freediving training makes her a valuable addition to our medical team, bringing a unique perspective and skill set to ensure comprehensive care and safety for all involved.
Ned Holohan
Ned trained as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the UK, qualifying in 2004. He furthered his expertise with post-graduate studies in anesthetics in Australia. In addition to his specialized training, Ned is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for both adults and pediatric patients.
For over a decade, he has combined his medical knowledge with his passion for diving, working as a scuba diving instructor in Panglao. He currently runs VALM Divers in Alona, where he uses his extensive experience to ensure the safety and enjoyment of diving enthusiasts.
Keith Ocampo
Keith has a diverse background in emergency medical services and freediving. As a Fire Paramedic at the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation, he gained invaluable experience in providing rapid and effective medical care in high-pressure situations.
His certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) affirm his expertise in advanced life-saving procedures and trauma management.
Additionally, Keith is a certified Molchanovs Wave 2 (W2) Instructor and a former national record holder for the Philippines. This unique combination of qualifications showcases his deep understanding of freediving safety , making him exceptionally well-suited to support and ensure the safety of athletes in AIDA Asian Freediving Cup
